SEDOS are delighted to announce the Autumn Musical will be the UK amateur premiere of RENT by Jonathan Larson. Please find details of the auditions below, and click here for more detailed audition notes.
RENT is a Tony and Pulitzer prize winning modern re-telling of Puccini's La Boheme set among the bohemian inhabitants of New York's Alphabet City during the height of the initial AIDS epidemic that swept the community in the late 1980's and 1990's. In the words of the late Jonathan Larson, it is a show about 'a community celebrating life in the face of death and AIDS at the turn of the century'. It has been running on Broadway since opening in 1996, alongside continuous tours in the States and across the world. Sedos are delighted to have secured the Premiere UK Amateur Rights.

Show Dates: Tuesday 11th November – Saturday 22nd November
Venue: The Bridewell Theatre
Rehearsals: Start Tuesday 16th September.
Rehearsal Days: Tuesday, Thursday, all day Saturday.

Audition / Workshop Dates
Workshop: Tuesday 9 September 2008 (advisory but not compulsory) This is a chance to speak to the production team, hear a little more about the show, the parts, what to expect from the auditions and ask any questions you may have.

General Information
There is a £5 audition fee if you are not currently a SEDOS member. If you are cast there is a £20 participation fee and you are also required to become a SEDOS member (£30 for the year)
